In a neighborhood of 160 houses. 48 of the houses are brick. What percent of the houses are brick houses.

    Since it's 48 out of 160 and you're trying to find the percentage out of 100, this particular formula would look like this: 48/160=x/100.

    Then you cross multiply: 48x100=4800

    Then you take the result of that and divide it by the total number of houses. 4800/160=30

    30% of the houses are brick.
