    One solution

    Step-by-step explanation:

    3/5 (x+2) = x-4

    I do not like working with fractions, so I will multiply by 5 on each side to clear the fractions.

    5 * 3/5 (x+2) = 5 * (x-4)

    3 * (x+2) = 5 * (x-4)

    Distribute

    3x+6 = 5x-20

    Subtract 3x from each side

    3x+6 = 5x-20

    3x-3x+6 = 5x-3x-20

    6 = 2x-20

    Add 20 to each side

    6+20 = 2x-20+20

    26 = 2x

    Divide each side by 2

    26/2 = 2x/2

    13=x
