Coefficients - the number part of a term (3x the 3 is the coefficient)

    terms - numbers separated by a + or - sign (2x + 3 is 2 terms)

(But 1/x or sqrt (x) are not terms because their exponets are not positive or a whole number)

factors - expressions that will multiply together to get the original term.
