    -3 (2/5x-2) = 18

    multiply - 3 by 2/5 and my - 2

    -6/5x + 6 = 18

    subtract 6 from each side

    -6/5x = 12

    divide by - 6/5, multiply 12 by - 5/6

    x = - 10
