The temperature in Canada dropped rapidly over five consecutive hours from 0 degrees to - 50 degrees. If the temperature dropped the same amount each hour, how much did the temperature change each hour?

    50/5hours=10 degrees an hour. This is a unit rate. Divide the denominator by itself to get one. Then divide the numerator by itself to get the rate. So the unit rate is ten degrees per hour.
