A local carpet company has been hired to carpet a planetarium which is in the shape of a circle. If the radius of the planetarium is nine yards, and the cost of the carpet is $15 per square yard, find the total cost to carpet the planetarium.

    Pie r squared is the area of a circle, so 9^2 (3.14etc) = so 255 square yards. So 255 x 15 = $3,825
