Gabriel is getting new flooring in his kitchen. The kitchen is 10 ft. x 10 ft. The tiles he wants to use are each 2ft x 2 ft. How many tiles will he need?

    Multiply 10 by 10 to get 100 and 2 by 2 to get 4. The area 1 tile will take up is 4 square feet and the kitchen is 100 square feet. Divide 100 by 4 to get 25 tiles as the answer.
