You are a landscaper and need to mulch 15 yards of plant beds. You have 20 bags of mulch and each bag covers 3 feet. How many bags of mulch will you have left over?

    3 ft * 20 bags = 60 ft ... so 20 bags covers 60 ft

    1 yd = 3 ft ... so 15 yds = 15 * 3 = 45ft

    60 ft - 45 ft = 15 ft of mulch left ... and if each bag covers 3 ft, then u have (15/3) = 5 bags of mulch left over
