An informal argument for the formula for the volume of a cone can be constructed using what fraction of the area of a circle formula?

    The answer is 1/3, because that's what I answered and I got it right.

    Also because the area of a circle formula is (pi times r squared) and the area of a cone is (pi times r squared times height time 1/3), so the cone formula is 1.3 of the circle formula.
