A line parallel to this one would need to have the same slope. This line is in the slope/intercept form, and shows us that the slope of this line is 9. Therefore, any line with a slope of 9 would be parallel to y = 9x. For example, the lines y = 9x + 3 and y = 9x - 40 would be parallel to this one.
