A pair of shoes is ticketed $49.99, but marked 25% off. You have a coupon for an additional 10% off the sale price. You, of course, will also have to pay 6.75% sale tax on yours shoes. What is the total cost of the shoes?

    The answer is $34.69

    You would take 49.99 x 0.25 = 12.4975

    Then 49.99 x 0.10 = 4.999. This is to find the amount of your discounts.

    So 49.99 - 12.4975 = 37.4925

    Then, 37.4925 - 4.999 = 32.4935

    Then, 32.4935 x 0.0675 = 2.19331125

    32.4935 + 2.19331125 = 34.6861125 or 34.69
