What property is 2 (a plus b) equal to 2 times a plus 2 times b

    It is the distribution property. That meas that 2 (a + b) = 2a + 2b. to make sense of this plug in any tow numbers for a and b and solve. I will use a = 4, and b = 10. So that would plug into the statement like this; 2 (4 + 10) = 2 (4) + 2 (10). 2 (14) = 8 + 20. 28 = 28.
