    8 rides is the maximum

    Step-by-step explanation:

    The equation is 37.95+x (4.25) ≥75

x is the number of rides

Start by taking away the admission cost from the total amount he has

    75-37.95=37.05

Now we know each ride costs 4.25 extra

    so divide 37.05 by 4.25

    you get 8.7176 ...

the whole number in there is 8

he can go on a maximum of 8 rides.

check your answer by plugging the numbers into the equation

    37.95+8 (4.25) ≥75

    37.95+34≥75

    71.95≥75

Just to make sure he can't go on any more rides subtract 71.95 from 75

    75-71.95=3.05

no he cannot go on anymore rides

    8

    Step-by-step explanation:

    1. Determine how much Earl has to spend on rides. Subtract the admission (37.95) from his starting number (75)

    75.00-37.95 = 36.05

    2. Divide 36.05 by the cost per ride (4.25)

    36.05/4.25 = 8.48

Since Earl cannot ride part of a ride (.48) he can only ride 8 rides.
