    -28 all you had to do was multiplie 7 by 4 and get 28 then add the subtraction mark to show it is negative.

    When two variables (letters) are beside each other, that tells us that we need to multiply. So if M = - 7 and n = 4, - 7 times 4 = - 28. The reason it is negative is because when you multiply one positive number and one negative number, your answer will always be negative.
