A lawn mowing company had to mow one-ninth of a mile of grass. To make it quicker, they split the amount evenly between 2 workers. What fraction of the mile did each person mow?

    To answer the fraction of the mile that each worker mowed you would need to find out what 1/2 of 1/9 is.

    To do this you will multiply 1/2 x 1/9.

    1/2 x 1/9 = 1/18

    They each mowed 1/18 of a mile of grass.
