Find the Greatest Common Factor (GCF)
GCF = 3
Factor out the GCF. (Write the GCF first, and then in parenthesis, divide each term by the GCF)
3 (3x/3 + 18/3)
Simplify each term in parenthesis
= 3 (x + 6)
