Bill and Brenda are downhill mountain biking. Bill started 500 feet ahead of Brenda and he bikes at a rate of 42 feet per minute. Brenda bikes at a rate of 50 feet per minute. How long will it take Brenda to catch up with Bill?

    There is an 8 feet difference per minute.

    500 : 8 = 62.5 or 62 1/2 minutes to catch up with him.
