if you want to work this out use the order of operations parenthesis is first (1+5-8) we would first do 1 + 5 = 6 then 6-8 which the answer would make negative 6 - 8 = - 2 then you would do a positive x negative 4 x - 2 = 8 cause a positive x negative = positive
