    Answer: no solution

    so useing the first equation:

    y=4x-6

    substituting into the second equation we have

    2x - (4x-6) / 2=4

    2x-2x+3=4

    3=4 <- - a false statement

    which means there are no solutions

    we can see that this is the case by multiplying the second equation by 2 and observing that it has the same coefficients as the first equation. this means that the lines have the same slope, and are therefore parallel.
