    Angle A = 56°

    Step-by-step explanation:

    To solve this equation, we need to first know, what a parallelogram is.

    A parallelogram is simply a 2-D shape with opposite sides parallel and equal in length. This means that if angle a and b are both opposite angle in a parallelogram then angle a is equal to angle b.

    In the question above;

    angle m = angle T = angle A

    angle m = (3x + 20) and angle T = (5x - 4)

    angle m = angle T

    (3x + 20) = (5x - 4)

    3x + 20 = 5x - 4

    collect like term

    (lets move the x variable to the right hand side and the the constant to the left hand side)

    20 + 4 = 5x - 3x

    24 = 2x

    (To get the value of x, we simply divide both-side of the equation by 2)

    24 / 2 = 2x / 2

    (On the right hand side of the equation, the 2 at the numerator will cancel out the two at the denominator leaving us with just x, on the left hand side of the equation, 24 will be divided by 2 which will give us 12)

    12 = x

    x = 12

    Substituting x = 12 in either angle m or T

    angle m = 3x + 20

    = 3 (12) + 20

    = 36 + 20

    = 56

    angle m = 56

    OR

    T = 5x - 4

    = 5 (12) - 4

    = 60 - 4

    = 56

    angle T = 56

    angle M = angle T = angle A

    angle A = 56
