The answer is 6 1/2 buckets.

What is did was turn the fractions into decimals to make it easier.

So the ratio is 5.25 gallons per bucket. I divided 34 1/8 by 5 1/4 in decimal form (34.125/5.25) and got 6.5

So therefore, the answer is 6 1/2 buckets of water is needed ti fill up the tub.
