Which is the value of the discriminant for the quadratic equation 0=x+2+x^2

    0
    0 = x + 2 + x^2

    x^2 + x + 2 = 0

    a = 1, b = 1, c = 2

    discriminant = b^2 - 4ac = 1^2 - (4 x 1 x 2) = 1 - 8 = - 7
