Let f (x) = 3x+2and g (x) = x-3. Find f (x) - g (x) and state it's domain.

    Subtracting functions is actually pretty easy. Think of it as just normal subtraction:

    f (x) - g (x) = (3x + 2) - (x - 3)

    f (x) - g (x) = 2x + 5

    The domain is all real numbers, since it isn't a polynomial.
