The larger of two supplementary angles is 6 less than 5 times the smaller. Find the measure of the two angles.

    Putting y = 5x - 6

    x + 5x - 6 = 180

    6x = 180 + 6

    6x = 186

    x = 186/6

    And y = 5x - 6

    y = 5 (31) - 6

    y = 155 - 6

    y = 149°

    The angles are 31° and 149°
