Are corresponding angles are still congruent if the lines aren't parallel?

    No they are not in the corresponding angles theorem it states that if and only if two parallel lines are cut by a transversal then the pairs of corresponding angles are congruent. And if two lines are cut by a transversal and the corresponding angles are congruent, then the lines are parallel.
