For each 8 mm of coloured fabric Peter uses to make his curtains, he also uses 1.5 cm of white fabric. Express the amount of white fabric to coloured fabric as a ratio in its simplest form.

    First convert 8 mm to cm.

    We know that 8 mm = 0.8 cm.

    White fabric to coloured fabric =

    1.5 to 0.8

    1.5/0.8

    This can be expressed as 15/8 or as a mixed number in the form 1_ (7/8).
