A rectangle and a triangle have the same area and the same base measurement. How does the height of the triangle compare to the height of the rectangle?

    The height of the triangle will be twice the height of the rectangle. The area of a triangle is ½ bh and the area of a rectangle is bh. If the bases are the same, then the height of the triangle has to be double that of the rectangle in order to get the same area.
