What is the difference between a theorem and a proof

    Theorems are generally true, but unlike postulates, theorems need to be verified by other mathematical means. These mathematical means are proofs. Basically, a theorem is the mathematical statement and the proof is the method by which you can verify the truth of the theorem. <-- - Just got that off google
