    No. of people in department A = 350

    No. of people in department B = 420

    No. of people in department C = 504

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let the no. of people in department A be x

    Given

    Department B employs 70 people more than department A

    Therefore,

    no. of people in department B = x + 70

    Again Given

    department C employs 84 more workers than department B.

    Therefore,

    no. of people in department c = no. of people in department B + 84

    no. of people in department c = x + 70 + 84 = x + 154

    Total no. of people in all the department in terms of x = x + x + 70 + x+154

    Total no. of people in all the department in terms of x = 3x + 224

    Problem says

    Three departments of factory employ a total of 1274 people

    Therefore

    3x + 224 = 1274

    => 3x = 1274 - 224 = 1050

    => x = 1050/3 = 350

    Thus,

    no. of people in department A = x = 350

    no. of people in department B = x + 70 = 350 + 70 = 420

    no. of people in department c = x + 154 = 350 + 154 = 504
