You have to distribute 3x+1 over the other parentheses

    3x (2x^2 + 4x-3) + 1• (2x^2 + 4x-3) =

    6x^3 + 12x^2 - 9x + 2x^2 + 4x-3 =

    Combine like terms

    6x^3 + 14x^2 - 5x - 3

    I think is 6x^3+14x^2-5x-3
