The length of s rectangle is 5 inch longer than the width. The perimeter of the rectangle is 40 inches. What is the width, in inches?

    L=W+5

    P=2 * (L+W) = 40

    L+W=40:2

    L+W=20

    W+5+W=20

    2W+5=20

    2W=15

    W=15:2

    W=7,5
