    2x² + 2x = 4 - x

    + x + x

    2x² + 3x = 4

    2x² + 3x - 4 = 0

    x = - (3) + / - √ ((3) ² - 4 (2) (-4))

    2 (2)

    x = - 3 + / - √ (9 + 32)

    4

    x = - 3 + / - √ (41)

    4

    x = - 3 + / - 6.4

    4

    x = - 0.75 + 1.6

    x = - 0.75 + 1.6 x = - 0.75 - 1.6

    x = 0.85 x = - 16.75

    The answer is equal to D. x = - 0.75 + √ (41) / 4 and x = - 0.75 - √ (41) / 4.
