you bought a little bit less than you needed

    Step-by-step explanation:

so if it takes 7 yards to make three jackets and you have 15 yards this is what you have to do:

    7 yards=3 jackets

7+7=14 so with 14 yards you can make 6 jackets

but you bought fifteen and 7 divided 3 equals 2.3 (or what it takes to make one jacket)

so if you wanted to have exactly enough material to make 7 jackets you need 16.3 yards
