Credit card allows you to make payments and purchases without exchanging hard cash or real money. So, you can make purchases from a credit card even if you do not have any money.

Therefore, When you use a credit card you do not see cash exchanging hands so it does not seem like real money. So, there is a chance if you buy or make any purchases without planning then there is a chance you can overspend with a credit card.

To counteract this you could only use credit cards for emergencies or keep close track of how much you charge and also do not make any purchases or payments without planning.
