Write an equation of a line that passes through (7,1) and is parallel to y = - x + 3.

    For a line to be parallel to another line they must have the same slope. The slope of y=-x+3 is - 1. The slope for the other line must be - 1 as well. The equation for the new line that passes through (7,1) would be y=-x+8
