    X = 3y - 7

    3x + 4y = 5

    3 (3y - 7) + 4y = 5

    9y - 21 + 4y = 5

    13y - 21 = 5

    13y = 26

    y = 2

    x - 3 (2) = - 7

    x - 6 = - 7

    x = - 1

    (-1, 2)
