    t = 1 second

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given: h = 16 ft

    This movement is vertical free fall without initial velocity V₀ = 0

    We will accept value of g = 10 m/s², but we must convert meters in the ft.

    We know that 1 meter = 3.28 ft = > 10 meters = 32.8 ft

    According to this g = 32.8 ft/s²

    The formula for calculating height is:

    h = g · t² / 2 = > t² = 2 h / g = > t = √2 h / g

    t = √ 2 · 16 / 32.8 = √ 32/32.8 = √ 0.98 = 0.99 ≈ 1 second

    t = 1 second

    God with you!
