4x - y = - 3y = 5x
Write as a system
4x-y = 5x
-3y = 5x
Simplify the expressions
-x-y = 0
-5x-3y = 0
Multiply both sided by - 5
5x + 5y = 0
-5x - 3y = 0
2y = 0
y = 0
Substitute the value of y into the equation
-x-0 = 0
x=0
A possible solution is (x, y) = (0,0)
