the floor of storage units is 24 feet long and 7 feet wide. what is the distance between two opposite corners of the floor?

    you would us the pythagorean theorem to solve this. a^2 + b^2=c^2

    a and b being the width and the length and c being the diagonal or hypotenuse.

    7^2 + 24^2 = c^2

    49 + 576 = C^2

    625 = C^2 take the square root of both sides to get

    C = 25 feet
