    Its D.

    (2x^2 - 3x + 7) - (x^2 + 6x - 12)

Distribute the negative over the second parentheses:-

    = (2x^2 - 3x + 7) - x^2 - 6x + 12

    = x^2 - 9x + 19 (answer)
