A rectangular yard has a length that is 7 feet longer than its width. if the perimeter of the yard is 46 feet, what is the area of the yard?

    If width = x then length = x + 7 feet

    Perimeter = 2x + 2 (x + 7) = 46

    4x + 14 = 46

    4x = 32

    x = 8

    So the area = 8 (8 + 7)

    = 8*15

    = 120 ft^2 answer
