    The demand in boxes will be 7,200 when the price is decreased to $2.25

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Here, in this question, we have an inverse relationship between the daily demand x for boxes and price p of the boxes

    Mathematically,

    xp = k

    where k is the constant of proportionality between the two terms

    Now let's calculate the value of this constant;

    k = 9 * 1800 = 16,200

    Now we want to calculate the the demand at a decreased price of $2.25

    This will be equal to;

    x = k/p = 16,200/2.25 = 7,200
