When you have this equation you multiply both sides by 5. Then you will get 9-x=15 and then I subtracted 9 to both sides. My answer is 6. What did i do wrong?

9-x/5=3

    I think you didn't move the negative down with the x, which would require you to divide 6 by - 1 which gets you - 6
