What is 12 + 5x = - 6x + 23?

    You add 6x on both sides it cancels out the 6x on the right side, since 5x and the 6x are like terms you add them so rn you have 12+11x=23 then what you want to do next it subtract 12 on both sides then you get 11x=11, finally you divide 11 on both sides to get x=1
