How to solve - 4 (6x + 3) = - 12 (x + 10)

distribute: - 24x - 12 = - 12x + 120
add 12 to both sides: - 24x = - 12x + 132
add 12x to both sides: 12x = 132
divide by 12 on both sides: x = 11
