Rico walked for 3/10 mile. Then he walked for 24/100 mile. How far did he walked in all?

    in order to add them you must get a common denomonater. to do that, multiply 10 times 10 to get 100 which is the denomonater for the other fraction. since you multiplied the bottom half, you must multiply the top half to make it even. 3 times 10 is 30.

    now that they have the same denomonater, you can add them. 24+30 is 54.

    54/100 is the answer
