    Take a 365 day year. 365 = 3.65 * 10^2 days.

    There are 24 hours in a day: - 24 = 2.4 * 10^1

    So the number of hours in 1 year = 3.65 * 10^2 * 2.4 * 10^1

    = 8.76 * 10^3 hours (answer).
