There are 48 cards in a pack and each card is either red or black.

The ratio of the number of red cards to the number of black cards is 1 : 1

8 red cards are removed from the pack.

Find the ratio of the number of red cards now in the pack to the number

of black cards now in the pack.

    Answer: Ratio = 2:3

    Step-by-step explanation: Total no. of cards in a pack = 48 cards

    Ratio of red cards to black cards = 1 : 1

    That means : No. of red cards = No. of blacks cards

    No. of red cards = 48/2 = 24

    No. of black cards = 24

    Now, 8 red cards are removed from the pack i. e. 24-8 = 16 red cards

    ∴Ratio of red cards to black cards = 16 : 24

    = 4 : 6 = 2:3
