A student lets out 100 feet of string on a kite from a hand height of 3 feet. The angle between horizontal hand height and the kite is 25. Find the height of the kite above the ground, to the nearest foot. Which trig function would be the best function to use for this problem?

    Step-by-step explanation:

    sin (θ) is the ratio of the opposite side to the hypotenuse

    opposite side is the height and hypotenuse is the length of the string

    100 Sin 25 gives the height from the hand.

    100 x sin25 = 100 x 0.4226 = 42.26 feet from the hand.

    Since the hand is 3 feet above the ground height is = 3 + 42.26 ≅ 45
