Marla ate 5/8 of a pizza; Damien ate 8/12 of a pizza. You can compare these numbers by expressing both using a denominator of 24.

    Marla: 5*3 / (8*3) = 15/24

    Damien: 8*2 / (12*2) = 16/24

Damien at the greater fraction of a pizza.
